Dreams are made of toasties like these. What’s better than enjoying a childhood favourite snack? Combining two favourites for the ultimate lunchtime treat! Why not add in a layer of barbeque sauce to really get the tastebuds going.

Ingredients
30g Dromona butter
2 tbsp flour
100ml milk
50g Dromona mature cheddar
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp spice mix
100g of macaroni, cooked
8 slices of bread
Made for sharing:
Note, Connor’s recipe makes an extra thick sauce. For a wetter sauce simply double the milk to 200ml

How It’s Done:
Add butter to a saucepan on medium heat, when melted add flour and whisk – when combined gradually add milk and whisk to form a roux
Reduce heat to low and add mustard, spice and cheese and mix
Add cooked macaroni, stirring into the sauce and then remove from the heat
Add a spoonful of butter to a pan on med/high heat
Let’s get building the toastie. Buttered bread, 3 spoonful’s of Mac n cheese and another slice of buttered bread
Add toastie to pan with melted butter and toast for 3 minutes on each side
Serve up a scrumptious meal perfect for any time of day
